四、嘉宾介绍
Xiao-Nan Li, M.D., Ph. D., is a Rachelle and Mark Gordon Endowed Professor of Cancer Research, and Professor (Tenured) of Pediatrics at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. He is also the Director of Developmental Therapeutic Core at Northwestern University Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center.Before joining Northwestern, he was a Tenured Professor at Baylor Collge of Medicine. The overall goal Dr. Li's laboratory is to develop new therapies for brain cancers. As a leading expert on the development and use of patient derived orthotopic xenograft (PDOX) models, Dr. Li has developed 188 PDOX models of pediatric brain tumors and adult GBMS, together with a matching panels of 3D tumor organoids. Dr. Li is actively pursuing multiple biological and clinically-oriented projects. Dr. Li's research has been richly supported by research grants totaling $19 million, including serving as principal investigator in NIH/NCI grants (RO1 and 3 UO1s) and 3 Cancer Prevention Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT) grants. Dr. Li has published more than 100 research papers, including in Nature, Cell, Nature Medicine, Nature Genetics,Cancer Cell, Advanced Science, Nature Communications, and his drug testing has resulted in the initiation of six clinical trials. In addition to serving as ad hoc reviewers for nearly 30 academic journals, Dr. Li is also actively involved in the study sections of major NIH/NCI grants, including P01, P50, UO1 and R43/R44, Department of Defense (DoD), as well as reviewers for brain tumor foundations in the United States, United Kingdom,Germany and Australia.
